The 10 Female Cybersecurity Founders You Need to Follow

As I get ready to present RAD Security as one of the 10 finalists for the RSA Conference 2024 Innovation Sandbox in front of a panel of judges that includes some of the most accomplished women in the industry, I’ve been reflecting on how I’ve been inspired by other women leaders who are having a huge impact in the world of security.

Despite progress, security is still a male-dominated field, so I think it’s important to shine a light on the women who are innovating in this space.

But, most importantly, there are some brilliant women at the top of their game who can give us insight into the biggest issues facing us today. With RSA approaching, here are some female founders and leaders to follow who are leveling the playing field:

  • Rita Gurevich is the founder and CEO of SPHERE Technology Solutions, a cybersecurity company that protects identities and data for Fortune 100 financial, healthcare, retail and energy companies globally.
  • Michelle Zatlyn is co-founder, president and COO at Cloudflare, which protects about 20% of the world’s Internet traffic – with more than 300 of the Fortune 1,000 companies as customers.
  • Masha Sedova is co-founder of Elevate Security, a platform that enables organizations to identify risky employees, reduce the likelihood of future incidents and proactively defend their workforce.
  • Jennifer Andre is  vice president of product at Greynoise Intelligence, which analyzes internet background noise to reduce false positive security alerts and identify emerging threats.
  • Shilpi Bhattacharjee is co-founder of Kaizenteq, an ed-tech company and community that dives into cloud security. She also produces the Cloud Security Podcast, which she co-founded.
  • Wendy Thomas is CEO of Secureworks, a cybersecurity company that provides a combination of cloud-native, SaaS security platform and intelligence-driven security solutions.
